Looking for some thoughts on pricing:

Exmark Metro 36" belt drive mower 07' 15hp Kaw, (low hours) $1,350

1 Exmark Metro 36" belt drive mower 08' 15 hp Kaw, (low hours) $1,450

Serials- 767807, 762360

Have also found some JD walk behinds for similar money, really want a Scag but they are hard to find...

Would be used to mow personal property and some rentals, mostly 1/4 A or less.

They are 3000 new before tax. I wouldn't say 1200 under. Maybe a few hundred under. There were several 48 metros sold last year for 2800 new from dealers. I paid 3 for mine in April of this year. It's a 48. Metro

Thanks for the replies- I thought it was a decent deal- thinking a few hundred below value- just not sure I want to go with the belt vs hydro which will be a whole lot more...

If its just a few I would go with the belt. If you have a lot of props and or little time go with the hydro. Not sure what your budget is

We've had a couple belt drive mowers without any issues, maybe a once a year belt replacement for less than $20, so it just made me think which system had more drag on the engine and subsequently less power. I know the Hydros are better mowers but for a newbie or less frequent user the belt drive would be the cheaper and better way to go...
