36" WB w/ Sulky?

I have a 1995 model 36" Metro belt drive exmark w/ a 12.5 hp kaw. Will it would do well with a sulky behind it? I weigh about 180 lbs. if that makes a difference. This is my only mower right now. Just starting so I bought used. I have several yards that are 1 acre a piece so walking all day everyday is getting tiresome already. Should I consider a small ZTR since I do mainly residential. Thanks for your input and advice.

Babafire1,

A sulky and a gear drive are not the "best" combination but it will work. It will require you to stay on top of your drive belt adjustments and to shift the mower properly.

Just make sure that you review the drive belt adjustment in your operator’s manual and when shifting on the go..........always clutch the drive levers when shifting. By clutching the drive levers you'll help make the shifter keys last longer.

Thanks,

Terry
