Is this post suppose to make sense, or is it a compilation of random thoughts? Kinda like reading one sentence every 6 or 7 pages.

I'm with you on that Rustic. What the h*ll is that about? lol I thought I was getting to tired to make sense of. And by the way. Anddidanybody seedat. Wadnt datacar? Justran ov'rmy foot. lol snort! snort!

Now getting to the question. There's quite a few members that come to mind who have been very helpful and extremely benificial. All-in-all, I think this is the best website on the internet due to the members as a whole. The one I would like to meet with is the visionary himself "Sean Adams." When someone has a idea/vision so grand, and brings it together to watch it take on a life of it's own.......It's like watching an artist paint. My second choice is BOBBYGEDD. Dude cracks me up.

It would have to be one of the LCO's in my area. They are the largest in the area, but they claim that they don't make a profit off from mowing, they only do it to help customers out. I would like to ask them a couple of things

1. What are thinking using 5 workers on a job site that only requires 2?
2. What are thinking when you use only 21's mowers?
3. What are thinking when you go out year after year and buy new equipment, you have perfectly good equipment?
4. Why would you go into the lawn care profession if you are only going to provide services to customers to help them, not educate them and make their property the best?
5. And finally, what were you thinking when you mowed my townhouse complex area...it was so dang dry that the dust was everywhere, coming in the windows, coating everything?

If I could spend time with anybody in the green industry, It would have to be David Mellor, head lawn guy at Fenway Park. He is such a famous guy now because of all his books he has written. He seems to know almost everything about the green industry. I am a young man who doesn't have that much knowledge about the green industry. He is the kind of guy who likes to share his knowledge. I would ask him how the green industry contributes to the overall beauty of the world. I would also ask him his aspects about being a Landscape Contractor.

It would have to be Adam and Eve. All that good fruit and they had to eat the rotten stuff. What were they thinking! Then again if it weren't for them I wonder if there would be any use for us? Hmmmm.
More seriously I can think of noone specifically but think of Lawnsite as one body of information, doesn't cost me a meal, all the questions asked are from another part of the body, and they're all the ones I think of and then a whole lot more. Mr./Mrs. Lawnsite you're great.

I would sit down with Jay White. He was my next door neighbor before he started his own lawn & landscape business and then moved out to the country club (living on the golf course).
I admire him because he started from scratch and built a six figure business here in Panama City Fl. He had the courage to leave the solitude of his job and start his own company. He would be the one I would want to sit down with and ask questions to, like, 1. Where did the courage come from?
2. What are you doing about insurance?
3. Can I have some of your accounts ?
Jay is an inspiration to us all. I am wanting to start my own company. I currently have a job that pays about 70,000 yr.
It would be very hard for me to do what Jay did, however, as each day comes and goes, I am feeling the courage.

If I could sit down and chat with anyone in the business, I think it would have to be John Hoich, president of Hoich Enterprises. His business keeps growing year in and year out. He has been in business since 1974, where he started in Omaha, NE.

I would ask him what his business practices were when he started out in 1974.

How did he find the clients that he would rely on for the next 29 years.

I would also ask him what he thought of the state of the Lco's of today verses the state Lco's of yesterday.

That would be who I would love to chat with for a few hours.

Who I like to sit down with- Brian Tracy - for the business and personal development, Marty Gruber - because of beeing so succesfull in the green industry- my question would be "What does it take to make it big?"

The person that I would want to sit down with would be the great greenskeeper from Caddyshack Carl Spackler. One of the best movies ever made. He just seems like a guy who would do anything to get a job done.

The person I would like to sit down with is well known to this site the LGF. First of all he seems like the type of person who will be straight to the point and honest about what, when, how, why and where. I would first ask him why he started in this business. After that I think the rest of what I need to know will follow.

My Dad!!

See he passed away sometime ago and we never really got to talk about my Landscape Business. He operated his own business. ( Excavating ) And was very successful. I would ask him how he thought I was doing as a business man and to give me some pointers to keep my business as great as his was and still is today. ( Run by my stepbrother)
I think he would be proud of his son. I also think the best advice comes from within the family. If you cant trust family who can you trust?
