I would like to talk to Harry Osborne. He was by boss back 17 years ago before I joined the Army. He owned Harry O's Lawn Care. I have always said if I could go back in time and really pick his brain I would. He was a great employer and very knowledgable about the Lawn business. I didn't listen to him back then enough to learn anything. I was only 18 and had other things on my mind, than lawn care. I would ask him how he sustained in the business so long, what his secrets were, how he successfully ran the business end, etc.

Good Topic.

I would love to talk with owner of a larger LCO outfit that has multiple garages and crews on really how sustainable it is. I myself would like to run more crews and have a central office (currently in discussion with my uncle on merging my LCO business with his)

So my short list of questions would be...

1.) What are your policies from safety to customer service?

2.) What where your hardships in setting up the first crew and what would you do differently?

3.) How do you approach your winter plowing?

4.) How much money and training do you spend on an employee?

Local LCO that has all the nursing home contracts.

I'd ask him if given the chance what would he do differently and why.

His contract properties always look very nice. Some how he keeps his crew doing everything just right. HOW does he do it???

Had a couple of opportunities to sit down and talk with Eric, one in Nashville and the other in Indy at Dixie Choppers place. Started not to make the 2nd trip to Indy but now I sure am glad I did it.

Went to dinner with Art Evans, owner and President of Dixie Chopper....stayed in his corporate "hotel".......here is a man that has taken nothing and turned it into something...a rather large something....he was and still is a guy with a vision and a passion for what he does.

I've been fortunate to have been able to spend time with 2 great guys in the green industry......2 that had a vision and saw it through.......now, who would I like to sit down and talk to if I had the chance........none other than Frankenscag!!!!:D

Why you ask? Heres a kid with a vision, very creative for his age and has come up with some pretty neat stuff. He takes ridicule from some on here and never blinks, just keeps posting and creating and letting everyone know he really doesn't care what they think. To me, here is your next Art Evans, Dane Scag and Bill Gates. Young enough and bright enough to experiment with whatever he wants to.........creative enough to come up with some good ideas, undaunted by remarks and replies from members that would have run off a lesser man.

Frankenscag............your an inspiration to all of us that missed the opportunity to do what we wanted, how we wanted to do it early on. We-(me anyway) did what we didn't want to do for so many years until we finally got the courage to find our place........your attempting to find it now and your still living at home........what an opportunity you have! Keep up the good work and don't let others dictate your path in life. I think your a kid with an extremely bright future.
