I may be buying a complete 400 that was running the last time it was in a vehicle. It has been in storage for a year. I believe it came out of a '72 chevy truck. I haven't found out yet if it has a 2 or 4 bolt main. I know with 350s that you always want a 4 bolt main if you're going to build a strong motor. I have been told by several people that with a 400, the journals are big enough that it is not necessary to have a 4 bolt. I am going to completely rebuild it so I know nothing is wrong. My question is, should I stay away from it if I find out it is a 2 bolt? He is only asking $400 for it. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
