Need some help. Should I get a 48" deck that is fixed or spend the extra money(700) and get the floating deck. I'm looking at the metro hp and the metro. Some insight would be helpfull.

I would go with a floating deck if many of your yards are uneven. It is very easy to scalp with a fixed deck until you get use to it. My next purchase will definately be a floating deck.

i like the fixed deck better it's lighter, but it's also not my main mower.

the main thing you may want to ask yourself is ,how often do you need to change cut heights ? if most of your props. are all cut at the same height go with fixed deck ,other wise go with the floater . you can adjusts cutting heights fast ,with the fixed deck you have to pull out caster spacers witch gets old real fast
