    Hey gang,

I am switching from my enclosed trailer this year to an open trailer and am shopping around.
i see many of them have a 4ft long ramp and i am concerned that the deck on my 48" great dane surfer wont clear it. anyone out there have any knowledge on this and know for sure i will make it or do i need to go find one with a ft. long ramp.

    thank you ahead of time!!

Our mower decks are slightly different, but my 52 inch StanderX clears barely clears on my trailer with a 4ft ramp.

A better option, in my opinion, would be a dovetail trailer. I had a dovetail with a 3 ft ramp last year, but it was stolen. The ramp was easier to raise and lower than a 4 ft ramp, it takes up less space on the street, it has less wind resistance, and most importantly, my mowers didn't have any trouble with clearance.

With my new trailer, the mowers want to graze the floor of the trailer every now and then.

that dovetail sounds great, i am tight on my budget for this right now but will be on the look out for the dt.
if all else, a monster truck kit for the mower :weightlifter:

If its a single axle raise the hitch height.

nice, i like the cheap way out !! I missed that when i was plotting, the atv tires would have ripped up the lawns on the mowet lol

my trailer's deck is 18 inches off the ground and with a 4 ft ramp the mower deck hits at the hinge when set below 3 inches from blade to ground
