Just did a rebuild on this engine... everything seems great except the pesky little problem of it not starting. It's like it's getting little to no spark when I pull cord on the recoil... thinking I may not have the gap right on the magnets... anyone know how far apart they should be so I don't have to spend the next couple of hours taking it apart and putting it back together again and testing it

I use any old business card which is about 0.010 works every time.

If this were _real_ critical, I think Rob would have thrown up a flag.
If you think the _exact_ gap is critical, then get your vernier or micrometer out, find a piece of card stock (translate:thin cardboard) that is 8, or 12, or 14 thousandths, or whatever the spec is for your engine.
The card stock, business or otherwise, is still the thing to use.
I use 12 to 14 on most of mine and have never even thought about it, because it works for me.
