How many turns do you have the adjuster opened ?
I tried more but that was worse.
Does you carb. look like this one ?
If so did you clean it as mentioned above ?
Did you replace the carb. to tank gasket and carb. to engine gasket ?
If you are having to apply the choke to make it rev up higher that is a sign of running lean (Vacuum leak/Something still plugged in the carb).
If you are sure everything is open in the carb and new gaskets are installed you may just check the flywheel key. It could be partly sheared, Not very common on belt drive engines but very possible.
That is exactly what it looks like.
I don't know any parts by name and since the drawing only has #'s which one's are which.
Sorry for being a novice but I've never taken one of these apart.
The gasket wasn't replaced so I need to do that. Do you have a part # for it?
I'll take the carb. off again and try all these things.

Look in back of the manual.
It's a pain switching back & forth, so sometimes I'll make a copy of the pdf and switch back & forth between them. One with the parts diagram and one to the description.
Do you have the web site with the pdf file on it.
I'm not in the repair bus. I just have this at home and am trying to get it going.
