Is that what this is? I know there is a 6" meter right before this. This new property I am buying has a 6" irrigation meter, 6" dcva, and an 8" mainline.

Place used to be a nursery.

650gpm anyone?

me either... im gonna try and dig around it next week. couldnt see any testcocks. it could be a super old style BF device. the nursery was built in 1976, not sure if that helps.

I wonder how much a 6" DCVA is now? few thousand?

im wondering what the base meter fee is per month on that deal... may not ever turn the sucker on if its real expensive.

hopefully by the end of the fall i will have the wires and soil constructed for an approx 1/2 acre vineyard. would like to get into the wine making portion soon after that. hoping to do some soil tests this week.

and if the economy ever picks back up, maybe I can do a boutique retail nursery and break even at best case:) it'll give me mom something to do.

aerial view of property, and the outlook of where the vineyard would be in relation to the outdoor seating areas...

Texas wine? Hmmmmmmmm.
Texas wine is quite good my friend. More so in the hill country area where there is little to no rain.
