Just wanted to share some pics of my enclosed trailer set-up. This year I upgraded to a 6 x 12 from a 5 x10 and it has allowed me to add a 54" ZTR in addition to my 42" ZTR. Nothing fancy but this set-up has served me well for the last 4 years. I use Husky straps and carabiners to hang most equipment and have never had a failure of any kind. Since it's not permanent I can always remove everything quickly if I needed the trailer completely empty. I am toying with one or two small tweaks but overall very happy with the layout. Feel free to share comments or ask questions.

Nice set up!

I ran a 6x12 enclosed trailer for our business until this year. Outgrew it.

Does yours have brakes? If not two ZTR mowers is probably overloaded. GWR of those 6x12 trailers is usually pretty low. John Deere mowers are heavy.

I understand that the trailer is enclosed, but that doesn’t mean the mower shouldn’t be strapped down. In even a fairly minor accident, it will go right through the side of that trailer. Box trailers are kind of just a tin can. Not much there really. I wouldn’t strap between jobs as long as you aren’t exceeding 30 mph, mostly because of the hassle, but if traveling at speeds above that it needs to be tied down.

I think it’s a nice setup, only thing I’d change, is putting the push mower in front of the ztr, that way you don’t have to take the push mower out every time you get on the ztr.
That's what I originally intended but I was concerned with too much of the weight being behind the trailer wheels, especially with the 54". Once I loaded it that way I wasn't sure if it would be a problem or not so I erred on the side of caution and loaded the ZTR as far forward as I could.

Good choice. In front or more forward is better. 👍🏻

Mine does not have brakes and I should have specified that I don't haul both mowers at the same time. I am able to schedule my lawns so the ones with the smaller gates I do on the same days. Thank you for the reminder on the tie downs.
