shindaiwa's 630's and the c4 8615 or whatever it is. redmax dealers around here are very few and in between. good shinny dealers tho. matter of fact, all handheld stuff is shinny w/ the exception of 1 redmax trimmer

I tested the 8000's and they were just too heavy... Changed it for a 7001 again, the 8000 sounds like an airplane...

I have 2 each and my guys fight over the 8,000's. They are just powerful and not heavy at all:weightlifter:

8000 is too heavy. 7001 is a good balance of power and weight.

The 7001's have been much more reliable for us. Not as much power, but at least they stay running. I would say it would depend on who is using the machine. My crew can be pretty rough on equipment, and the 8000's just had too many problems. Whether or not they are coming out with an 8001, I sure won't be the first on line to buy it, like I was with the 8000.

I hate the 8000 I have it in the repair shop more then I do the jobsite. Complete junk like all other redmax products I have. Like the handheld blower also new carb needed 2 weeks after it was new. Trimmer 3000 model pos
