I am currently in the market for a new used truck,Full size with extened cab 3/4 ton , I have been looking at both bed sizes and not sure if I would be content with the shorter bed or longer bed.
Looking down the road I may buy a dump insert for it.But am a little skeptic on the larger engine size like a 454.What do most of you fella's have and are you content ?

I've got both, the 2002 is a 6.5' bed, main truck for business, my 92 is a 8' box, Next truck will be a F-350 dually 8' box, hopefully next year. I would go with a 8' box for this business.

Get the 8' bed, you can never have enough room! I went from a 6.5 to an 8'er and not only will you get more bed space, but with GM trucks, you'll get another 9 gallons of fuel on board.

Definetely 8 ft., especially if it's for business use.
