I have a Mag 8000 sharpner. Have had it for 2 years and love it. The white plastic piece that you set the blade on to run it through the grinder is wearing and I will be needing a replacement. I remember that for your 9000 you designed a new rest that was longer. Most of the blades I sharpen are notched high lifts. Your current rest is 4" x 5". If you made it 4 x 7.5 the notched part of the blade would be on the rest before running it into the wheel. As it is now if you don't have the blade perfectly flat, the notch will catch on the edge of the rest as you run it in. I think with a longer rest for your 8000 you would be able to hold more of the blade flat to the rest and be able to get a better sharpening angle. Any thoughts?

We are looking at designing a longer worktable for the MAG-8000, but the concern is, how long can we extend the table and still have sufficient rigidity and support.

So, to let you know we are reviewing the possiblity of having one, it is just still in process.

    Thank you,
