8700 sq feet graded and sodded pricing

    Probably around $0.35 a square foot price is pretty good for prep and laying sod in my area. Around $3000.00. A lot depends on the conditions too.
    Site conditions and accessibility could raise this price.

    Could we get more infor on prep?
    Can we use skid steer, or need smaller machine (stand on version for gate)
    Is there existing turf to remove - if so does it have to be moved off site & type vehicle to use
    Is topsoil needed

    If its just grade existing soil (new home construction - no soil added) I'd bid for day rate for man & machine for grading & have forks for machine to move pallets. Then you'd be at approx $400.00 for machine w/ operator + $.35 -$.40/sq ft for sod, minimal hand grade, install, fert, lime & rolling. It all depends on how good operator is - some leave raking a real minimum.
