I was a bit weary as I have never made this repair before. It was VERY easy. Here's how to do it for those who may need it in the future. Replacing the spindle on a TTHP 36" Here she is: First take off the cover, then remove the belt by removing tension with the brass colored pulley. Take the bolt off the top of the spindle. I recommend an impact wrench for this! The pulley will pull right off. You may need a pulley puller. Take the "key" out, and give the spindle a tap. It should fall out below. Remove the spindle housing with the 6 bolts. Slap the new one in there the same way you took the old one out. My kit came w/ new guards for the top and bottom. Lube up the spindle, mainly where it touches the guards to keep dust out. (I wish I had this lube when buying the part from the dealer ). Put the pulley back on with the key, torque the bolt to spec, put the belt back, and go! This took less than an hour for me. An extra set of hands would have helped lots when removing the 6 bolts that hold the housing. So easy a cave man can do it!
