Does anyone have the MS 210? I'm thinking about getting this saw for light to med work.

Also thinking about getting the HT 131 Telescoping pole saw, does any have this saw, how do you like it?

Ive got a ht75 and love it, its very handy and dependable. I sell echo and am a die hard stihl guy but I think the echo has the stronger shaft on it. Ive never cut with the echo but you can get a 25cc engine on it. Go with the ht130 if you have a good stihl dealer near by. The ms210 is a good saw, its alot better saw than the ms170 and starts alot easier.

I just purchased a Stihl MS 290. A little more than I needed but sure to last me for the next 10 years at least if not longer.

I bought a Stihl MS 210 2 years ago and love it. Much lighter then my old saw and has held up well so far. Cracked the chain brake last week but other than that, no complaints.

I can't comment on the pole saw, but I had the 021/210 and traded it for an 025/250. At around $50 more I got 50% more power with the same weight.

I have had a Stihl chainsaw about 20 years Model 046 I think. It has been a solid performer and always starts.. When I finish using, I drain tank then run until engine starves. I have a split shaft trimmer, and pole saw attacment. It could be a bit longer but is good for light pruning.

I also have the HT101 pole saw. Don't use it everyday, but comes in handy for pruning trees, tall shrubs. Haven't had any problems in 2 years other than leaking a little chain oil from the resevoir. It is also good for cutting back large limbs on overgrown shrubs. I've also got a 25" Stihl chain saw....can't remember which model. Don't use that very often. I mostly use my Echo 14" chain saw.

    Thanks for the info guys,

When I posted this tropical storm Edouard was heading our way. They were saying it could become a cat 1, but it didn't make it, only about 65mph winds. I thought we would have alot of clean-up to do. We had Rita in 05 cat 3, Humberto in 07 cat 1, and Dolly last week, Dolly missed us but still brought us about 5-6 in's of rain.

Anyway I am going to hold off for now, but I think am going to get both of these saws to have for the next storm.

We do have 2 shindy pole saws, and they work great, but it would be nice to have something that extend out more.
