I dont bag much at all. As of right now if i bag i have to use my timemaster. I am only part time and have got a few people asking about leaf clean up. I have been wanting a grass catcher for the small amount of bagging i do but primarily for leaf clean up. I am looking at the accelerator and the grass packer. If yoi have experience with either one how did it do on leaves. Also i have a 48 ferris zt and a scag 36 wb. If you buy another bracket will the same accelerator catcher or grass packer catcher fit both or will you have to have 2 different catchers.
Accelerator hands down. Steel catchers are too heavy and make it a unnecessary chore to work with. Check there website on fit, most likely not cross applications as they custom fit the openings.
Accelerators are terrible for leaf removal. The holes let out Way too much dust. I had the fabric cover and still was a dust storm. They may have improved the fabric. This was 15 years ago.
Mulch kit the way to go. Bagging leaves is for Suckers running Walkers.
Grass packer uses same bracket. Accelerator doesn't. I just bought a grass packer and I like it. its not to heavy, didn't blow dust in my face and I've read threads where they lasted a long time. Does fill up quickly but I would assume all would. The accelerator is expensive and apparently get beat up easily. But lots recommend them. Jumbo with extension and cover was over a grand. Grass packer is $350 shipped
I spray down the inside of my accelerator lightly with fluid film which greatly helps keep the dust down and reduces noise as well.
