add on service?

    does anyone feed plants/trees as an add on service? i've been creeping it into my full service contracts, and it seems to be selling nicely.

    Bobby. I used to notice the larger spray guys feeding shrubs/trees with a deep root gun. I have often wondered about doing it as well. Dont really want to get involved with shrubs though!

    Competition for fertilization and spraying is pritty fierce around here. We got Scotts, Chemlawn, Bare Foot, Tru-Green, Heck! even the bug guys are all getting in on that stuff. I cant profit well around here so I stay away from it. It sounds like easy $$ if the market supports it

    deep root gun??? nah man, i just buy this granular stuff in 40 lb bags, toss half a hanful on the plants, and say, "you owe me $65, DO NOT be late." no root gun, no overhead

    Deep root gun might be worth the investment...

    I have 100 + year old nothern catalpa tree on my yard I don't want to loose and I hire a guy to come and fretilize it every other year. The guy shows up and is here for about 10 mins start to finish and leaves me a bill for $150.00

    Pretty good ROI and not a lot of people around doing it ...properly :D
