Ive got to say, I hardly ever adjust the position of the D handles on any of my string trimmers. I just grab them and go. Never have any problems, but I wonder if anyone has any tips for adjusting the D handle. I suppose it may feel better to adjust them high for tall operators or low for shorter operators or do u adjust the handle for better balance or what?

It differs by the person. I have my right hand on the throttle and have the handle adjusted so my left elbow is slightly bent durring normal edge trimming. it is more comfortable than having my elbow really bent close to me or not bent at all. But the position differs by what the opeerator feels comfortable doing.

I'm tall so I move it way up towards the throttle. Makes it easier on my back cause I bend less. Does put the string at not perfect flat angle but what can you do? I have a shin, if I find one with a longer shaft I'll buy it.
