I moved from PA to OK last year and currently have no customers yet. I have been running an ad in the local paper the last 3 weeks and have not heard anything yet not one call. I have been posting on Craigslist like every other day and nothing. Not sure if craigslist is worth it or not with all the low ballers and scammers on there. But it is free and there isn't anyone posting on Craigslist with in an hour of my area. I am getting 3000 door hanger which should be here Monday. I plan on spending most of next week plastering target areas.

What other types of advertising can I do to get my name out there?

What has worked for you?

And to the OKC and DFW area LCO's how has been your response rate been so far this year?

Is it a bit early and people are not yet thinking of their lawns yet because they have not greened up much yet or what?

I'm from Pa. and I expect to start getting calls around the middle of April from Craiglist customers. I was thinking about looking into buying a mailing list from the post office or a local mower dealership that mails ads to my potential customers. This is going to be my second full year on my own and I to would like to get some more clients. I post fliers in the local supermarkets but my uninsured competition rip them down to place their own up.

I once heard a millionaire say his secret was "early to bed, early to rise and advertise advertise advertise" I think those 3000 door hangers will bring in 15 to 30 calls, I am looking at the coroplast signs that u see all over corners advertising everything from tax filing to pizza, ebay has some with your ad printed for like $85 for 50 of them including stakes, good luck!
