aerating after seeding....

Do you get good results when you broadcast seed before you aerate a lawn? It seems that it would take a long time to overseed an acre?
Please advise

We always seed after aeration.

at what rate (lbs. oer 1000sqft.) do you spread at? This is my main question.

What type of grass? We overseed with per. Rye at 10lbs per K.

thanks but im still not satisfied. So say it calls for 4-6 lbs. per 1000 for a new lawn. How much then would i put for reseeding?

I heard overseeding is about 1/2 the rate of new seeding, but I may be wrong..

60-70% of new lawn rate for reseeding is what I use.
But I'm sure others will differ.

Bluegrass/rye we overseed approx. 3lbs / 1000
New lawn 5-6lbs.

Why would you seed after aerating. You'll get much better results by aerating first.
