HAY! any of you experienced aerator ever tired hooking up any type of sulky to your aerator????
It would be of no use on small lawns or wet ones but on the 10k plus ones that are wide open it would be a blessing.
I've tired a pull behind type with my rider but you cant get enough weight on it.
This probably would not apply to you with Blue Bird types, but I have a Billy Goat 4 wheel type.

Bryant-
Does your product use the weight of the mower to sink the pluggers in? Is that why the casters on the front of the machine are in mid air?

Bryant,

Don't be bashful. lol Do tell all.

Link please also.
:( Nice product but doesn't address my question.
Come on Five Diamond lawns...it addresses your problem. You have a few grand just laying around to replace that old aerator dont you :D
time for another contest...:D

links at top of page gator rator is a sponser of lawnsite.
visit the sponsers or no lawnsite
Cooper landscaping, yes the weight of the mower is being used the higher the wheels are raised the greater the force.
how much for that gadget? and how fast does it raise and lower, cause it sure doesnt look like anything you're going to make any fancy turns with. i pull a drum behind my z, yea, the one you fill w/ water. holds about 100-120 lbs of water. i know that most of you dont like the drum aerators but i'm gonna tell you what- THAT is one money making machine, it has brought many thousands into my small business and all for $149. the results have always been very good
The Scraper, the GATOR RATOR is $2499.00. Your able aerate as fast as the mower is capable of going. Raising and lowering the aerator is 2.4" inches per second. As far as turning while in the ground you can only due gradual curves. on a Bunton BZT 2230 is just under 500 lbs of force.
Hay Bryant find somewhere else to push your products!!!!
I had a legitimate question / problem and you turned it into a sales form for your equipment.
Hay SCAPER this drum aerator sounds interesting. I've never heard of one tell me more.

I'm not really sure how a question asking if anyone had put a sulky behind a aerator is answered by an advertisement for what appears to be a aerator that attaches to a ZTR:dizzy:

It's definately doesn't look like a walk behind aerator nor is it a sulky, but that's just my guess:D

link??????????
five diamond, i've only rented walk behind aerators so i've only used them a few times. the sulkey may very well be an invention waiting to happen, however i think some major design changes would be nessessary as far as the raising and lowering of the tines at the end of a row and turning the machine around for the next pass. you might talk to that young guy , goes by the name of "frankinscag" or franken something. he's always inventing stuff with his welder and could probably do something with the idea. visualize if you will, a 14in dia x 45in long drum with tines welded onto it and a tow frame which hooks to the back of a z rider. drum has a threaded plug on it which you unscrew and fill w/ the garden hose. holds (i'm guessing) 15 gal at aprox 8lbs per gal. it rolls behind the mower much like a printing press rolls out money :D i love my aerater. oh, sorry... i was starting to drift. anyway, i think bryant just saw that you were interested in aerators and figured he'd show you their version. yea, he's a salesman, but then again arnt we all? quite frankly i wouldnt mind taking that thing for a test spin. i'm always open to new interesting ideas that might enhance my business. p.s. bryant, i'm "the scaper", not the scraper :)
