I've never done core aeration before and have some customers requesting it. I know it pulls plugs out of the ground, do you leave them lay or do you go back and clean them up?

Just leave them. They breakdown and act as a topdressing for the lawn.

Mow before you aerate if you don't already know that-The plugs do act as a topdressing and also re-distribute nutrients
