Well tommorow should be a good day, will be doing an easy cleanup for good money, and buying a Z335 42 inch deck John Deere or a 42 inch deck Quest E series exmark. Any body have any suggestions on which to get ?

Neither. Those are home owner models not built for commercial use.

Ya if you are going to make any real money then you need commercial grade equipment. If you want a hobby , then those mowers will last a little while. Just get 2 of each, so you will have a backup while the other is constantly in the shop

A radius doesn’t cost that much more than a quest

Yea I would go with the top of the line Exmark radius. Close to a commercial engine. Commercial everything else

Okay so someone has told me the hours that a john deere and quest last will be 2000 tops, radius 5000 tops. Then the yard machine I pointed out the other day probably wont last even half as long as the quest and john deere so I definetly ruled that one out. So should I just go with a 48 inch deck radius for 5000$? That is what the guy at the mower shop was suggesting. Guess you guys are right. Quests look cool too though. But you guys are right 5000 hours for 5000$ sounds a lot better then 2000 hours for $3500.

I do not see a radius going 5,000 hours on original motor and hydros. Not even close.

I’m at 2000 hrs on a turf tiger and it’s in the shop getting a new engine and had a new hydro at 800 hrs

well thats tops is what the internet said. So i guess realistically I will go 800-2000 hours with the Radius, 500 with the John Deere and Quest, and not even 200 with the yard machine? Right?
