The original post stated that the lawn in question was mostly broadleaf weeds, crabgrass and nutsedge. Aren't we overthinking this a little?
If most of the lawn is weeds and not desirable turf, why not just use roundup (or, better yet, the cheapest generic glyphosate you can find) and just reseed?
Is gly. killing the nutsedge where you're spraying?
