Mine is covered for 100% of replacement value so if you're gonna take something, take the whole rig.
they’ll Have to cut it to move it.
Or on a tandem, remove one wheel
Correct but will still take time and most thieves look for easy targets.
I'm really glad this thread came up. I have an open trailer now, which when it's not hooked to the truck, fits in my garage. But I'm shopping for an enclosed which won't fit in the garage, and now a wheel lock (or two) is going to be added to the must have accessory list.
Some people place a gps tracker as well on the trailers. So they can track it down.
That wheel lock is designed to latch both wheels if you want.
I had a trailer dealer tell me awhile back, that thieves removed the chained wheel from a single axle enclosed. Took a wheel and tire off another. Hitched it up and drove a couple blocks dragging it on the hub, could see the scrape on the asphalt. Then likely put the other wheel on it and made off. If they really want it, they'll get it, just make it as difficult as possible.
My trailer is so old that no one would want it.
Russ you lucky sob. I can see sand by the tires. You oceanfront or block?
