I usually have 3 guys in a truck, I just asked a new guy that is starting tomorrow to follow in his car so there are only 2 in the truck to be safe, i think he thought i was nuts and he said if he gets sick he gets sick. I'm not trying to hurt anyones feeling just trying to be careful. Am i over reacting?

Possibly, especially if he has to cover that cost.

And when you all get to the jobsite, then what?

Take turns getting equipment from the trailers while everyone else stays 15 feet away? How do you keep track of who used what and ensure no one else touches it?

I do think you are overreacting and this measure won't protect anyone. Better to enforce good hygiene on the job and refuse to let anyone sick work. If you are going to work together you're in it together.

I hope you and your employees get through this safe and healthy.

I agree with "That Guy Gary"
Follow hygiene have lots of sanitizers on hand. Buy a couple packs of baby wipe so everyone can wipe face and hands often.

    Ok ?
Does he even have a wife ?
If he does have a wife, does she work at hospital?
If she does work at hospital and they had positive cases then maybe the hospital should know if he should go to work or not.

Baring that strange scenario what did your post mean?
