I have a 32" Scag with a 12.5 hp Kawasaki FB460V-ES36 engine. It doesn't have any spark. This engine doesn't seem to have an ignitor (control module). Apparently they made engines without the ignitor module. I replaced the coil with a new one with no luck. All resistance checks are right on according to the manual. Flywheel magnet seems as strong as an identical machine that I also have (also no ignitor module on this engine). Disconnected the safety wiring to by pass all that...no luck.....no spark. Everything including all settings and measurements are the same as my identical machine...which runs great. Where would the ignitor be located? I can't find one on either machine and was told that some FB460V engines didn't use an ignitor module, but maybe I am missing something here. Also the wire that goes to the coil primary is a single wire with no additional spade connectors to go to an ignitor. I am really puzzled. Help.
