I did a search, and i'm basically asking for assurance.

I have a customer that needs 15yards of mulch, delivered, spread, with some minor bed work to be done first.. including cutting one bed out around a tree, and along a 70ft long bed.. (4 hours by myself i'm assuming for prep)

My end bid came to around 1480.. haven't submitted it yet.. is it me.. or does that sound a bit high?

Go ahead and make fun of me till i get this.. only my second mulch job, so i'm learning. :D please be kind..

Your figure works out to $98 a yard for the mulch, not including labor. I would figure it $75 per yard, installed times 15 yards is $1125 then add in your labor charge for the edging. If it's going to take you 4 hours, just charge your hourly rate and tack it onto the $1125.

Your prices may vary but that's how I would bill it and that's probably how the other companies will bid it if she has more than one bidding.
