Just wondering if any of you guys mow any soccer, football, or baseball fields for local city parks. Whats you average time to mow and trim?

Tried to bid some here but they went way to cheap. Dont see how they do it but they do. I know guys say they make 1000 a day in places but not around here they dont. everything that you think your close on goes 2 to 3 hundred lower. And I figured it at 38.50 a hour on my bid.

I would love to be able to mow 1 or 2 athletic feilds around here, just for the publicity that it could give me, but all the municipalities and school districts do their own fields, so there isn't any opportunity for me to do so.

Hummmm....I'm sure someone on here has some experience in this. One other question, what size equipment are you running?????

We do 3 baseball diamonds, A Park with 2 soccer fields and a rec centre with a baseball diamond and a soccer field. Trimming all that chain link fence on the backstops and outfield fences is a Pain. 11.5 acres in total.

We use a 61" Ferris ProCut and a 60" Kubota Zero Turn.

The largest one is just over 4 acres. Most of it is wide open. Takes about 2 man hours, The mowing goes quick but the fences take a bit of time and because you need to do the ditch by the road with a walk behind.

Soccer fields are easy, The one that's 2.9 Acres takes about 45 -55 minutes with one mower or half that with 2 because there's no trimming, no trees just wide open

Try a little salt around those chainlinks. Save time and trimmer line
