any reliable ph soil test kits?

Discussion in 'Organic Lawn Care' started by mrkosar, Mar 12, 2006.

  1. RIGHT ON!

Do it right, get a quality soil test, one that includes the base saturations, don't forget the soluble salts

want to quickly impress the client, use an inexpensive ph meter for a quick check on ph, then do a soil test to test the nutrients and get recommendations!!!!!!

I use the Kelway, it seems to work well enough. Mind you not as extensive as the other larger kits, but the customers seem to like it.

There hasnt been a post in over a year on this. Seeing if there are any other insights maybe from Ric or some of the other elder members. I know sending out the soil is more accurate but I like the idea of testing right away.

RIC was banned from posting in the organic forum a few years ago , your best bet is to get a quality soil test done at a lab. Its not worth the time or money for hand held units.
