Hey Guys, kinda new to the whole landscaping world. I was wondering what kind of things everyone does to prepare for the new season. What are some good habits to get into for prior season start-ups. And also do you assume your last yrs customer wants you back or do you send out "return notices"?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sharpen all your blades. Grease all your equipment that needs to be greased. Write down what you are startng off with at the begining of the season (somethings have a tendancy of walking away.) Cut your yard first to work out any kinks/awkwardness you will have for taking time off from using it.

Call, email, twitter, or facebook last years customers, give them a chance to give you feedback, suggest clean up before the mowing starts if you do that work.

If you are using service agreements (and you should be) now is the time I renew most of mine.

If you want more business deliver door hangers or flyers.

Like Meatplow said get familiar and detailed with your equipment and supplies.
