Just checking in to see if anyone has has good results with Pylex on cool season turf. The previous threads are quite. Looking to get rid of what I think is paspalum, dallisgrass ? Still can not get a positive id , but all my research points to those two, quinclorac/MSO only puts a red band on the sprayed blades and it grows right out ! Starting to really see ALOT of it.

Is it safe to assume that nobody is using it ? Trying to get a sample before spending 400+ for 8 oz ;)

I started using it about 2-3 weeks ago-both at the .5ml and 1ml rate.

    My results are as follows:

1ml/gal rate showed bleaching at 1 week after application. I also used 1/4oz of turflon ester and 1/4oz NIS in the mix.

.5ml/gal rate showed bleaching at 10 days after application. I also used 1/8oz of turflon ester and 1/8oz NIS in the mix.

Just did a second application using both mixtures this past weekend after waiting 2 weeks from the first one.

It does work on Dalisgrass, albeit slowly, but it does work. However, it smokes Orchardgrass at the 1ml rate as described above. .5ml rate will take at least 2 apps. Just did the second app this weekend. It is interesting that it turns them brown, not white...

As a note, I would be careful with the turflon ester as I have had some minor burning at both rates. Could be the temps causing this. The turflon is supposed to suppress the bleaching, but I'm not seeing it.

With the exception of spraying Dalisgrass,(I don't have any), I am spraying this on my own lawn right now. Once I get it down to the right rates, I will begin using it on my clients lawns.

I have not tried it on nimblewill.

I will post some pics this week.

Just heard back from my area BASF Rep. They do not have samples available. I thought that was a little odd, but I guess that's how it goes.
