Anybody race?

    Let's see those hotrods, drag cars, bracket cars, dirt track, circle track, road race, or whatever else you've got!
    I'll start it off with my '02 Ford Lightning SVT F-150. It has a few things done to it and put down 444 rwhp and 542 rwtq on the dyno at South Texas Performance in San Antonio about a month ago. Chris from STP did the tune. Fully streetable with A/C, cruise, power everything, and full interior.

    I also have an '89 Ford Mustang 5.0 convertible that's a full drag/bracket car. 302 ci, TFS Twisted Wedge heads, FRPP X303 cam, Crane 1.6 rr's, Edelbrock Vic Jr. lower intake, Holley 750 4bbl with work done by The Carb Shop in So-Cal, Proform electric water pump, UPR Billet 3" race pulleys, Art Carr 9" 3000 stall race converter, Performance Automatic Super Comp C4 w/transbrake, Derale dual-core trans cooler with -6 AN braided lines, Precision Performance Products billet shifter, FRPP aluminum driveshaft, Strange spool, Strange 31-spline axles, Strange c-clip eliminators, Richmond 4.10 gears set up by Ernst Automotive, Competition Engineering 3-way adjustable drag shocks in the back, Lakewood 90/10 drag struts in front, UPR chrome-moly K-member, and a-arms, with UPR billet coil-over conversion in front. Holcomb Racing solid motor mounts, all -8 AN braided line in the fuel system, JAZ 8 gallon fuel cell with dual outlets, Mallory CP140 fuel pump to a Quick Fuel regulator, then -6AN dual lines to the carb, Nitrous Express Gemini dual-stage plate system with 100 shot (at the moment), MSD Digital-6 ignition with Crane coil and MSD Billet distributor, all Autometer guages mounted in the stock bezel, Cobra R 3" cowl hood, '84 GT seats, rollcage, Prostar 15x3" up front with M/T Sportsman tires, Prostar 15x8 in the rear with M/T ET Drag 28x10.5 in the rear. All of the wrapped in a beautiful 03-04 Cobra Sonic Blue. Last time out, on the motor she ran 12.4 @ 108. I have not run it on the new rearend setup, and also had to pull the heads as I found I had a burned intake valve on the #2 cylinder. Should be fun when I get her put back together again :).

    I've been thinking about getting a RCLB Duramax to turn into a race truck, or get into SCCA and do some road racing. Been wanting to race for a while, but funds haven't allowed till recently.

    Ive really wanted to get into a latemodel here lately as we have a few good asphalt tracks close ....but thats a pretty expensive hobby. I have thought about getting one and just running some practice laps in it for fun but ya know what that would lead to.

    Motocross, cars are a little expensive for me, atleast the one I want to build up :laugh:

    This was my 02' Ram 2500. I had about $16K in performance mods. It made 450hp and 983 TQ at Fuel Injection Specialties in San Antonio.

    My 09' 3500 hasn't seen the dyno yet but it will after I finish upgrading my Suncoast trans next week from being a Jr. to a full blown M3GA Competition Transmission. My 6.7 just has Smarty, head studs, water/methanol injection, 5" TBE, Airdog, DPF delete, and a few other odds and ends. I'm shooting for 430-450 HP and 900- 950 TQ.

    I have been talking with a local guy about Kart Racing.... There is a track up in Canada where you can go for a day and pay like 300 bucks and run the real deal... Not the super's but still... They give you a kart, gear, a personal instructor who breaks down your driving and tells you what's up... I grew up going to see the sprints, midgets, super mods... my dad is a dirt track guy... Hey plantscape, that stang sounds like a straight up BEAST! What color? Can we see some flicks?

    2:16 On the outside!!!!!!! Later #51!!!!!!! Dude, you are no joke! Awesome racing..... Did you start on the non-shifters then move up? Is that what you would suggest to do?

    you, most people would suggest to start with a slower kart or maybe a tag. I didn't, I jumped strait into shifters at the age of 40.
