I was looking around at the dealer today and noticed the red max eb 7001 is now ebz 7001. Stratocharged, different intake from filter to carb, and the motor looks more like the 8000?? So how do the new version 7001 compare to the old? And on the 8000, is there now an 8001? Whats the difference?

    later... chris

I just got a 7001 a few weeks ago, I dont think I have a strato charged unit, but will check it out tom. My 7001 is a gas pig, but does turn out alot of work, strato-charging that engine would help the fuel economy

Mine also. It is a great blower though. I have gone over a week between starting and pump the bulb, turn it on, put about 1/3 throttle, pull choke and it ALWAYS starts on first pull. I run it side by side my partners 8000 and you really can't tell much of a difference. But it DOES suck the gas. Usually fill it up at least twice a day.

    It ought to be nice.

I'm really becoming a fan of the Strato-Charged engines.
They all remind me a lot of dirtbike 2 strokes.

The fuel savings really is significant and noticeable too.

But if you really want a fuel efficient blower, look at the EBZ 5000.
They have a smaller tank and will run almost twice as long on it.

    EBZ5000 | 678 cfm |173 mph | 19.8 lbs | 64.2 oz tank | 1.8 hr run time
    *EB7001 | 742 cfm |204 mph | 21.1 lbs | 70.9 oz tank | 1.1 hr run time
