Hello Everybody:
I had the same problem & so did one of my employees. I also had shoulder pains that kept me up at night. I even had it so bad I couldn'tlift my hand up to my head to scratch it.
I went to Doctor & he told me to change the way I was working. He also told me to take asprin before going to bed, to help with the pain I had in my rotary cuff in my shoulder.
We found out we were griping our trimmers to hard & other equipment. We also wasn't wearing the trimmer strap. LOl, I even noticed I was griping my steering wheel to hard.
We started to using straps we each had our own just for us & readjusted the trimmer handles. We had the trimmer handles & straps adjusted so we could stand in almost straight position. They were adjusted so we could hold them with our finger tips & not be holding hardly any of the weight of the unit while operating them!
It was a little difficult to get used to operating the equipment at first, but after a few weeks the pain went away & we could run the unit all day with no problems.
We also noticed that productivity increased a good bit.
Hey, how do you people like the words "Good Bit" or "Pretty Good Bit". It is a very accurate terms of measurement used here in the South Daily!
If you or one of your employees aren't wearing the strap while you are trimming & edging with the trimmer, it is costing you money & time. Also later on down the road it will cost you pain & Doctor visits!
"Been there Done that & learned the HARD WAY!"
----------
GrassMaster - Home: www.lawnservicing.com
My Start Up Page www.lawnservicing.com/startup/
