IF you have a Walker 74, please tell me what you think, and what HP etc. you are using. THANK.
im real interested in this as well, I was told anything over 52" on the walker starts to toss around and doesnt cut as clean...
The new 60 is Super B specific but is supposed to be GREAT. I play to buy a Super B in about 6 weeks. A 74 put on it for the big open (and yes I live in Asheville but am blessed with great yards for the most part, big and open), would be Kick @**. I now use a Walker with a 52 and it has served me well for 15 years of commercial cutting.
We cut with our 62" side discharge deck until it almost fell apart. It cut nice and clean.
I currently do not work landscaping but a year ago when i did we used a walker 74 inch deck on a walker 26 efi. Great cut in my opinon for side discharge. It saved us tons of time over the 48 inch deck. And it would mow over anything. Only thing was it was a pita to adjust the deck height it was a heavy son of a *****. One other thing to look out for it will probably and obviously be a little harder on your mower than a smaller deck. But all in all this deck was a good deck that cut well and fast
Thanks Zak, that was the response I was hoping for.
Hey man if you need any more questions answered i can help you out.. I worked for a company (not myself) when i used the 74 inch deck and i would do a lawn in 5 mins in what would take me 15 to do with the 48ghs...
We have 2 74" decks we use on our walkers with 26hp efi engine. It works great. Can run full speed most the time unless its real tall grass, or wet. It cuts wet grass better than Grasshopper 322d with 61" deck.
Why did you say yes I live in Asheville and your blessed with great yards? Is lawn care crappy there? I have been thinking of moving there?
