You could lean your mix up. At the end of the week doing the math you will save a buck or 2.
Used a lot of Stihl Ultra and the generic crap from Horizon.
As far as carbon build up goes the SU beat it hands down, I'd never willingly use anything but a premium synthetic after seeing the difference first hand.
Been using stihl ultra going through a lot of it right now, thinking about switching over cause a lotta you guys recommend it. How much $$ is it compared to stihl?
same, well more, but you use less
Saber all the way here. Did use Stihl ultra and I had way too much buildup with it. Switched to saber 3 years ago, two of the three years I ran it 80:1 with great success. This year I ran it at 100:1 in everything and I had no problems. In fact one trimmer (stihl) started running better.
I will never switch back.
Ok fellas, the majic mist is Amsoil. Don't tell no one
Look, I ain't no pro cutter, just a fixer.
From what I can tell, most of you guys run yer fuel mix with more oil than recommended / needed, no ?
More oil = more problem$$$
Today's branded oils are designed to do the job at the recommended ratio, right ?
I've not seen a single person on here saying they use more oil than recommended.
I buy the Stihl Ultra in 6 pac. Each bottle makes 2.5 gal. As recommended.
Happy running sabre here too
Red armor is a better cleaner of systems but sabre burns with a little less smell
As my signature says run premium gas only 0 issues since switching
