Has anyone ever used a turf hammer attachment for Ditch Witch vibe plows. Looking for something to tamp trenches and was wondering how well they work.

Never used one, or seen one. I use a jumpin jack to tap trenches.
Where you located in VA?

Roanoke area. Ive used jumping jacks too but I was hoping this would make tamping a one man operation and I want to get more use out of my vibratory attachment.

Neat concept. Any idea on the blade length or the foot size?

Not sure about length and I'm guessing the foot is about 12". Local Ditch Witch dealer said they can make one for me so I assume that I can spec whatever I want. Going to call tomorrow to find out the details.

I made one out of a broken blade. Dont realy use it much as we just drive the DW with the tires lined up on top of the pull lines.

Did you pull that picture from PLCUnderground.com ? I think that thing could be made for a lot less that $423 as they have listed.......

They don't work very well and are hard on the machine.
