We love the stuff! Did our first yard in 1 1/2 hours for 9K. It took 15 bags. We made a simple straw blower for it. Comes shredded, weed free and a tackifier. 15 bags cost 120 bucks. Blankets cost more than three times as much and take three times longer to lay.

The photo of the package in the link Riggle provided says that it's 99% weed free. I wonder what that means?

I believe there are no ugly oat seeds. The feedback from another user says he hasn't seen any oats come up. One of the major reasons I hate using straw. I took my Stihl BG50 and plastic welded the top of a an old Stihl backpack sprayer lid and threads to blower. I then cut a hole in the lid and welded a drain 90 to it and use corrugated drain pipe to suck the straw out of a trash can. It works really well. Unscrew the backpack lid and I'm back to having my hand held blower. I'm heading to another seeding today with it.
