Our lawn applicators will have the 4-day weekend. Our mowing crews will work full days both Independence Day and Friday, but will finally have a Saturday & Sunday off (first time in months).

How can anyone take of the two busiest days of the week this time of year as well as with this crazy rain we ve all been having? It ll be 10 hour days for both and probably 6-8 on saturday like usual. And sunday chill for the morning and do maintenence in the afternoon. Make hay while the sun shines boys!! That's the name of the game in this business. It's a long long winter.

I've contacted all of my Thursday people and not one will be doing anything at home that I will be interrupting.

Most initially said "Oh, you just enjoy your day off - you can mow us another day - no need for you to work on a holiday."
Well, I don't HAVE another day to mow their lawns unless we can somehow arrange for TWO Thursdays this week.

I WOULD have tried bumping some things around, but rain has me behind, and today my truck was in the shop half the day getting brakes fixed.
Yeah, I'll be working. I need to pay for the ability to stop my truck. ;)

Well the plan was to hit it extra hard Monday Tuesday and Wednesday and I'd be done since this was my easy week anyway but who would have ever guessed it would rain! Lol its all it does anymore I guess the lawns that don't get done will just have to go till next week because I'm heading out of town Friday morning.... who knows when Ithon will ever get caught up on landscaping work... that's a thing of the past with all the rain its all I can do to get the mowing done

Did all our monday lawns this past sunday and kept a day ahead to try and take the 4th off plus they were calling for a ton of rain monday and possibly tuesday. Got very little rain monday and tuesday so we stayed a full day ahead but here it is pouring and we wont get anything done today.

So what does that mean? We will be doing our thursday lawns tomorrow and friday lawns on friday. So yes we are working on the 4th.

So much rain here in the last two weeks makes Independence Day a work day for me. Hope to get done by 2:00, Happy Independence Day!

Normally we try to take off but due to the weather and workload we're working through.
