Are Everride mowers any good.

I bought one a few weeks ago that will be here on monday. I got it shipped from Tennessee. I have never used one before but I hear they are the same as the great danes. I really didn't need the mower but it was such a good deal I couldn't pass it up. $3,999.00 plus shipping @$260 for a brand new everride scorpion fixed deck 52 inch with a 23hp kawi. Does anyone have anything to say good or bad about these mowers? For four grand for a stand up mower, I could mow my own yard and it would be worth it. I hope to use it on a regular mowing schedule though.

Thats good to hear. I have heard nothing but good things about them but its nice to hear feedback either way. You dont see the brand in my area very often. In fact I had never heard of it until I saw it on ebay.

It was SLE. They were pretty good for the most part. They always answer the phone when you call but the transaction took far too long. The will say they are gonna call you that afternoon or the next day. Two days later I would call them. They NEVER called me back when they said they were gonna. That being said, you can always get someone on the phone during normal business hours. All in all, I will tell you how it went when I get the mower. Tracking says its in Pennsylvania, says it will be here monday. For that price I didn't really care about the dealer. I won't be using them for warranty or service anyways I just wanted to get the mower. There is a foreign guy(mexican or something) that answers the phone a lot. Didn't have much luck with him. Cody and Chris were pretty Knowledgable and good to deal with but again, never called you back when they said they were gonna. If this mower turns out to be in good working order, its new it should be, I would deal with them again. Just glad I did it in the winter when I didn't have a whole lot going on otherwise it could really drag on. Their number is (615)641-7720.

One example is I talked to them on Tues. they said they were gonna ship it out that afternoon or first thing wed. Cody said, "I will call you back with the tracking number" I called them on Thursday at @2 just cuz I was anxious to see if it would be there by friday and they gave me a tracking number and told me I wouldn't be able to track it until friday. It turns out it didn't leave their shop until thursday at 4:45. No big deal but every dealing that happened with them was like that. I should have just paid cash for the mower but Everride had 0% for 6 months so I took that. Things would have gone quicker. I faxed them the application the said they would call me in an hour to tell me what the result was. I called them two days later to find out. Stuff like that was the norm. Then they said they needed original copies of the finance agreement so they were gonna overnight it the next day. This was also on a thursday. They didnt overnight it until the following wed. I called them on tues to find out what was going on and they did it the next day. Just kind of a PITA that I wouldn't have the patience for during busy season.

Great to hear.. I was actually dealing with them for a 52dane last wednesday, but decided to hold off. After all said and done it was going to be 5500 and wanted to keep it under 5K. Anyone no if there's a difference between an everride or dane surfer??.. Absolutely right about them calling back, If I didn't hear from them I called them back every 20/30 minutes, It took me about 4 hours total including financing etc to find out I didn't want the mower. They have some great deals.. After you check it out make sure to post back, what I'm interested in is how easy/or not it is to change deck heights on a fixed stander.

I was told that the everride scorpion and the great dane surfer are exactly the same mower. The only thing different is the paint color. I heard every component on the mower is the same. If you need parts for the scorpion you can just buy a dane surfer part. I'll let you know about the deck.

standers for Everride, Dane and Gravely are the same. SLE, the reason they never call you back....I've been there personally. The "web salesman", whole time I was there he was online booking a ski trip. Could have something to do with not calling you back...just saying. they have great prices. bought a Billy Goat loader from them.. From an Everride owner, you'll love it.

Good to hear I am excited about getting it. The guys were real nice on the phone, helpful and knowledgable. Its just when someone says I'll call you back in an hour and two days later I have to call them its kind of annoying. I dont want to be a pita calling them every hour, however I do want to know whats going on.

My mower came on tuesday. Nice machine. It looked like the crate came apart while shipping. No extra blades like they promised. The manuals were so soaked now that they have dried the pages are all stuck together. Some of the decals on the machine were messed up or off. No big deal on this stuff but still aggravating. I haven't called them yet on it because i was kind of pissed off when i got it and I don't do well when I'm angry. All in all I am happy with my new mower and price, not happy with SLE. If they had another deal like that, I would buy another one though.

Also the rubber that goes on the handles was rubbed right off the top. Like flat spotted down to the metal. Looks like the shipping company was taking something off over it and cut rub right through the rubber handle. I wasn't there when it was taken off so I wasn't able to say anything, but I'm not sure its worth the aggravation.

Absolutely....Very responsive Hydros. Fast mower. Great at donuts on the ice at my shop. Sharp corners almost dumped me off the side a couple times. The nuts and bolts of the mower....haven't mowed with it yet but it seems very well built. Very happy with it. Also I talked to SLE today and they are sending me new manuals, the blades they promised me, and new grips. They offered to replace the decals but I declined that. Wasn't a big deal to me and I will probably put my own logo on anyways. The exposed logo on the deck was fine anyways. I am happy I called them, they were very good about it and as long as the stuff comes I will be very happy with the transaction. I am going down to my shop today to do a little inventory. I wanted to add the mower to my policy and figured I would give them an updated list, it has been a while since I have done it. I will take some pics and post them later.

there's your manual. I have the manuals for both my scorpion and my warrior downloaded to my desktop. Few times I've needed a part I could look it up a lot faster than my dealer could!

SLE is a large volume dealer. Sometimes you lose a little personal service with the large volume dealer, however the one piece of equipment I bought from them I was MORE than satisfied.....other than what I stated above of course

Cool Thanks man! Thats awesome. Definitely will come in handy. I wish I had those for all my machines. Yeah I gotta say I was pretty happy with them. They are taking care of everything no problem and they always answer the phone. I would buy from them again. I am glad I called them, I was gonna just let it go.
