    Any body seen this stuff?

I had a buddy of mine in Atlanta tell me about it. Has anyone seen it or used it yet?

Never seen it before. Reading about it brings up a couple of concerns though. FAQ page says it floats so I would be concerned about it holding on a slope or low area. I know pinestraw can float but it really tends to soak up water and lay down.
Also, when leaves dump on this stuff in the fall you either have to pick/blow them out or turn them under, which doesn't sound like it will end up looking very well. Unless you want to add more synthetic straw, but since it doesn't deteriorate, you can't keep doing that.
And of course, cost would be an issue. Sure over time it would even out but, while that's great for the homeowner I don't know if that's a big plus for the LCO. My .02

this is an old thread I know, I know I know...but a statement here was posed that it won't benefit you in the longrun.

You could forego cost and labor of spreading and raking up of old straw and inplace, charge an hour or so to flip and fluff the new straw in turn charging the customer less, making them happy, and turn a larger % profit making the landscaper happy.
