At what point in the year should I raise prices?

    Around January, or could i just raise it at the start of next month?

    july 1st. Then can look for others to do it cheaper july, aug, and sept. by oct they are over it and keep you all winter and forever.

    I was going to say when the snow is almost melted but I guess that wouldn't work in your location! :)

    I will not raise my prices until 2006. I have given a price to my customers and that is that. If they can not trust my word, then I am nothing. I intend to raise my prices in 2006, but until then, no matter what the gas situation is, the prices I have given are like being carved in stone.

    We raised all of ours on April 1st. Did not have one customer leave us. Went up $2.00 to $3.00 per account (mowing).

    All new customers I have figured in higher gas prices. I have also told them if it soars like it has been doing I will be adding a surcharge.
