How was everyone's year? Anyone have any big business plans for 2012? I may be buying out my brother in law, who has about 20 accounts in Jamestown so that would be good! Trying to find the time and get my applicators license, and also working on some more advertising for this year!
I think we should see how many guys we get on here by March, and then set up a date to have a lawnsite day!
Cant tell if thats sarcasm but I honestly wouldn't go wasting money on study material cause its not that hard and they tell you everything and only a tad bit comes from the actual book they give you

As this is my first year starting up my company. All i have is hope to pay my bills, and keep evrything going smooth. I have been working rather diligently on cards, insurance, equipment...etc etc. I try and market my business evryday. Im constantly trying to get worked lined up for this season.
It means big brother is going to be in your wallet for one. It also means there is paper work for every fert app you do and if something is not right when you get "audited" by dem you get fined if they feel like it....

It's a lot of hassle from DEM and the state on what you can use where and when and near what and you have to record how much you use at what rate and how you weren't near a water table and how you disposed of the bags or liquid. It's a LOT of them watching you. Not to mention you can get pulled over if you are a commercial vehicle and the cops see fert in the back of your truck Posted via Mobile Device
Thats the reason why im not interested in it. State of ri will let you use organic ferts and anything without cide in it such as fungicide,pestacide.. and so on. As of right now i will use what im allowed to.

Actually you cant. If you are a legit company and registered you are considered commercial. If you are commercial you can not apply with out a certification.
even if you arent a legit compmany you still can not apply. pesticides or not.
Very true, even with "organic" you still have to have an applicator license. Anytime you are putting something down and getting paid you are a commercial applicator and need a license. Even to spray roundup you need to be an applicator Posted via Mobile Device

i spoke with a woman named robin mooney from the state. Im wont argue the fact. But i went straight to the source.. Explained my situation to her. And she said as long as it is organic and has no weed killer or insectacide, you are fine. You can put down lime and purer ferts. Myself... I dont do much of this anyway. But I wanted to cover my a$$
