Just a quick price check etc. I'm in MA, good area, not great, but good. Avg. lawn price according to quickbooks is $42.85. Most of my route is 15k foot lawns. Spring cleanups avg. about $250, as long as I don't have to haul anything away and take a two man crew 2-2.5 hrs. each. Hourly rate probably running from 45-60 hr depending on what were doing. I pay 12.50-16$ per hr. for guys. Won't step foot out of truck for less than $30. 2 Man mow crew does 800-900 a day, in 8 hrs...wish I could charge more, but I'm doing decent.....anyone else?

In my area in Michigan my lawns average about 6000 sq ft. I usually charge about $25 for normal mowing. Spring clean-up is usually $50-$75 for dethatching, blowing beds and first mowing. I'm there for about 40-50min. This is only me doing the clean-ups though.

Sorry, but the math doesn't add up to me. 45-60/hour for 8 hours doesn't equal 800-900 a day.

I don't think charging $50-75 for thatching a yard and blowing out beds and first mowing is worth the time it would take to do. So mowerbrad you can dethatch, blow beds, and mow a 50x120 lawn in about 40-50 min. I don't think so unless your doing a very poor job. Even if you have a bagger for the thatcher it will take longer than the time you say. How about anyone else.

    Go buy a calculator. 8 hrs x 50 per hour=400 x 2 employees =800

I think the average lawn around here is like $28 or so.
