awful sound comming from under

Hi, Hope someone can shed some light on a potential problem. I have a lazer z hp 44"deck, is only one season old.

for some reason there is a bad vibration and grinding sound coming from the area of the tention pully under the motor. You can here it when motor is idle and at top. Also when thrust is put on the mower with the drive arms there seems to be a clicking sound. Is that from the drive pumps?
A possible fluid problem? Do the lines need to be bled?

Hope someone can help!

It really sounds to me like the pump drive idler pivot is dry and needs lubrication. If I'm correct you'll need to remove the pump drive idler arm and clean the dried grease out of the bushing, polish off any rust or corosion with emery cloth, re-grease and re-install.

It's possible you've got an issue with a pump but it's pretty unlikely.

I would check the fluid level, make sure to wipe any dirt away from the cap area before opening, and check the pump drive idler. If it's not either one of these I would take it into the dealer for inspection.
