not sure really. i typically do weird stuff like that when i get sales calls just to mess with them.
This thread is great.
A customer was hounding me to get their hedges done. Fine, told them I'll be there on Saturday.
Evidently, the husband passed away early that Saturday morning.
Of course I'm unaware of this.
I was just turning into the driveway and at that exact moment EMT guys are carrying the deceased out the front door. Carrying a gurney with a blanket over the body. Yeesh..
I look over and see this and cut the wheel fast and bolted.
i'm always wondering what to do at times like this. should you go ahead and work since that's when you said you would do it?
of course they didn't think to call you and tell you not to work that day because of what happened.
if you wait then how long do you wait before you go do the job?
Well I blew out of there at the moment that went down. I figured errrrr.. no yard work needs to be done that day.
Seeing the poor soul carried out the door, I just cut out and left quickly.
I think the next week I went to do said work an offered my respects to the family. They were fine with that.
Sounds as though she was attempting to beat the snot out of the house. If she wouldn't live there, neither would anyone else.
damn this thread is great lol
yeah you can get those repo houses cheap but....i've seen some of them where whoever was living there gets mad they are getting kicked out and they will just destroy the entire house before they move out.
She had dug a 3-4 foot hole and was crouching down in it. Had hand written signs tape all over the place. I asked the bank I was working for to send someone else next time to the address. Lady was nuts.
Same happened to my son and i. We pulled over to let the paramedics by and joked about hoping the customers were ok, will never do that again.
