I bought my Z last spring, a few days ago my clutch broke, I took it to my dealer left it and came back a few hrs later. When I got there the guy that fixed it told me that they had to put newer style clutch on and it was a little different. When I got back to mowing with it it doesn't seem to cut as well as I thought it did before (maybe this is all in my head) but are there any differences in the clutch? Maybe not running the blades as fast?

We haven't had a clutch change in many years, what is your serial #?
Even if it were a new clutch there is no difference in how it will cut.
1 thing to check would be your deck belt tension, just in case it wasn't tightened enough.

Who is your dealer? What is your model and serial number? Date of purchase?
We used an Ogura clutch a few years ago, but everything is Warner now.

There is a new updated clutch, but the only difference is the bracket that holds it on,and how fast it stops. It is designed to stop the blades from spinning within seconds of shutting them off. The time period is now shorter. The only thing that might be off is your belt tension. Make sure the spring is 9 inches stretch out. If not it will slip.
